I’m excited for what kinds of flowers will come out seasonally. Maybe there will be games similar to Trials on the island in New Leaf? You’ll also notice the Seasonal section when you’re ordering seeds from Lloid. Assuming these two are connected, I’m curious to know what this is going to entail, and hoping it isn’t just the same insects you get on Sunburst Island.

On Lloid’s menu, there is the “Capture!” option, though unavailable. In the Miscellaneous section of our items, there is now more subcategories including Seeds, Flowers, and the empty Creatures. In this section, you can also see every type of flower that’s currently available in the game. You give Lloid flowers in exchange for items like tables, chairs, teddy bears, and topiaries. The only thing to do with flowers (other than cross-pollinating) is giving them to Lloid in the Flower Trade. The other opportunity you have visiting other gardens is to see if your friends have any rare flowers in bloom and if so, cross-pollinate them to get rare seeds of your own. I’m not sure how long a flower has to be wilted for before it can’t be revived. You can see in the Beginner’s Guide that if flowers aren’t watered, they will wilt. This makes watering during the blooming process a necessity. This is going to help us as we all plant rarer flowers because the rarer the flower, the longer it takes to bloom. While visiting a friend’s garden, you can water their flowers if the soil is dry with the reward of 1 friend powder. Having a larger friends list and visiting all of your friend’s gardens is essential for success in this new Camp Manager responsibility.

Pocket Camp prepared us for this update by giving us the “Friends Frenzy” Timed Goals a week prior, encouraging us to beef up our friends list.

I’ve found a really great post and info-image about cross-pollinations and how to get each flower by Mistreil on reddit. By cross-pollinating different colours of the same flower type, you can create rare seeds that aren’t available from Lloid such as blue pansies or black tulips. The only seeds you can buy from Lloid are red pansies, yellow pansies, red tulips, and orange tulips. Cross-pollinating is when you sacrifice a flower from your inventory to pollinate a flower in a garden and create seeds. Head to the left of your campsite if you haven’t already and you’ll be greeted by Isabelle, and once in your garden, Lloid! I wasn’t too intrigued by gardening at first but I’m definitely warming up to it the more I play around.įrom what I can tell, there are two main draws to gardening: cross-pollinating to get rare flowers and trading in flowers for items. I jumped right into gardening because I knew it was something I wanted to write about. I hope you’ve all seen the update by now, which not only includes a new snowy title screen, but now each campsite manager can plant flowers in the gardening section of their campsite! While I knew gardening was coming, I didn’t think expect it be available until the holiday event was over. Note that Mystery Islands can only ever give you one other type of flower, so you're not guaranteed to find Blue Pansies on them. With less than a month under its belt, Pocket Camp already has come out with an additional activity for our campsites. There is a chance that Blue Pansies might grow on Mystery Islands. If there are no new flowers, you'll simply have to continue watering them. For more information on how to cross pollinate, see the link below.Ĭross Pollination Guide Blue Pansies may not grow the next dayĮven if you've fulfilled all the preconditions for Cross Pollination, Blue Pansies may not grow the very next day. Plant them so they are next to each other.Ĭheck for new flowers next day and repeat from step 3 if there are none.īlue Pansies can be cross pollinated using two White Pansies. The information given here will only cover flowers bought from a store. Note: Pansies that are native to your island have random cross pollination patterns. Note that the pansies you use will need to have been bought from Nook's Cranny as seeds, as the ones growing natively on your island have random cross pollination patterns. The first step in making Blue Pansies is to gather up two White Pansies.
